Clarke DEMOLITION
Rail demolition is highly specialist, requiring specific techniques and sensitivities. At CDC, we’ve been undertaking major demolition works for many years.
Our first road-over-rail bridge on the Liverpool Street to Norwich line in 1983. Since then, we’ve demolished a total of 26 bridges along that line for key contractors, covering overhead, third rail and underground sites. We are RISQS approved and our staff are PTS certificated, CSCS approved and trained in competency by the National Demolition Training Group/Construction Skills partnership.

We have extensive expertise in handling operations within both red and green zones. Our team has successfully tackled a diverse range of structures, including signal boxes, gantries, station buildings, and platforms. Notably, we accomplished the challenging task of removing the roof at Paddington while the station remained fully operational.
Throughout these projects, we have demonstrated proficiency in various techniques, employing explosives, concrete cutting, hydro demolition, and meticulously planned collapses to ensure safe and efficient execution.
