Meet Jake Nicholls: Newly Appointed Group CEO of Tru7 Group and Former MXGP Rider
Jake Nicholls brings a unique blend of competitive spirit and business acumen to his role as Group CEO of Tru7 Group. With a decorated motocross career behind him and a bold vision for the future, Jake is helping steer the family business into exciting new territory.
Before joining Tru7, Jake carved out an impressive career in professional motocross, finishing 4th in the world in 2012and narrowly missing the MX1 British title in 2018. His time on the international racing circuit instilled a relentless drive and precision that now fuels his leadership at Tru7.
Jake’s leadership style reflects the values instilled by his father and grandfather – a passion for excellence, a deep respect for tradition, and a relentless focus on progress. His appointment signals a bold step forward for Tru7, as we continue to expand our services across construction, demolition, aggregates, and plant hire.
As the third generation in the Nicholls family business, Jake works alongside his father, Group Chairman, Guy Nicholls - balancing tradition with innovation. Jake has been instrumental in the development and expansion of the group’s contracting divisions, as well as a key driving force behind Tru7’s apprenticeship scheme.

TRU7 Community Work
TRU7 is fiercely loyal to its East Anglian roots. The team has raised significant funds for local organisations including St Elizabeth Hospice, the Motor Neurone Disease Association, East Coast Hospice and GeeWizz. TRU7 is also the proud sponsor of the Ipswich Witches and Sheffield Tigers Speedway Teams.
