How Does a Volumetric Concrete Mixer work?
A Volumetric Concrete mixer effectively acts as a mobile batching plant. Cement, aggregates, sand and water are transported in separate compartments on the vehicle.
Once the mixer arrives on site, these materials are accurately measured and fed into the mixing system in the required proportions. Fresh concrete is then produced continuously as it is needed and discharged directly for the pour.
Once the project has received the required amount of concrete, mixing can simply stop.
