LOCAL PEOPLE AND SKILLS

Tru7 Group is loyal to its East Anglian roots, this is evident in the company values which have been passed down from generation to generation.

Our primary goals have always been to keep standards high for the wellbeing of staff, quality at the forefront for customers and to be a positive force within the community – employing over 350 professionals, with a substantial percentage being based in Suffolk and its surrounding areas.

Our investment and ongoing plans for a training centre at Tru7 HQ, reflects our commitment to education and development for both existing and new members of staff.   

At Tru7, we are extremely proud to offer a number of apprenticeships across the group, from business administration, to plant operatives and engineers. We recognise the importance of recruiting and nurturing talent, equipping individuals with the necessary skills to kickstart their careers – as of June 2025 we will have 29 apprentices across our divisions. 

ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY

TRU7 Group invests in state-of-the-art technology and the best quality, newest machines in order to save time and fuel, as well as reduce emissions. This is done by ensuring all machines and equipment are kept as modern as possible. All our plant vehicles are powered by the lowest emission engines available today; where possible, these have Tier V engines, and all HGVs are VI.

TRU7 Group is committed to supporting the UK Governments ambition of reducing emissions by 78% by 2035 and achieving carbon neutrality, and reducing emissions through sustainable practises and policies, as well as carbon offsetting by 2050.

GeeWizz Charity & Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Playground

The GeeWizz Charitable Foundation is a very special, small charity where transparency in all giving is paramount.

It supports children and young adults across Suffolk and Norfolk, who are learning disabled or neurodivergent, have a life-limiting illness or cancer, as well as supporting Sarcoma Cancer research and many capital projects.

GeeWizz Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

Guy and his family attended the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at Milsom’s Kesgrave Hall on 14th May 2017. They were invited after having made donations to support the charity GeeWizz. Fundraisers and donors have helped raise almost £150,000 for the charity, and attended the tea party to celebrate 18 months since its launch.

£400 has been raised in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice

Tippers ‘R’ Us and our sister company BagAgg have raised £400 in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice. The money was raised by selling sweets in the BagAgg office to the customers coming to our site.

TRU7 Group helps with plans to protect Woodbridge from floods

Since the 2013 tidal surge, more than £1.2million has been spent to protect Woodbridge from flooding, including the replacement of parts of the town’s defence wall from Tide Mill Way to the railway station and the installation of steel defences from the railway station to the Deben Rowing Club.
