Tru Earthworks

This vast project for client TSL Ltd was a large undertaking, involving 15 weeks of heavy work to shift 83,000m3 of topsoil, sand and type 1.
The Tru Earthworks team began the challenge in November 2021 with a topsoil and vegetation strip, stockpiling of the topsoil, lorry loading and removal from site. An extensive range of Tru Plant machinery was on hand to power through the mammoth project, helping the team on site undertake vast quantities of earthworks on schedule and to budget. The work included excavating to cut and fill; stockpiling the surplus; and placing, compacting, and trimming type 1. Additionally, there was excavation for attenuation tanks; and backfill plus compaction of fill.
Carrying out the project & the final stages
The bulk earthworks contract, at a value in excess of half a million pounds, was carried out with the use of TRU7 Group’s fleet of high-quality plant including the Volvo EC380Els, Komatsu D71, D61, D37 PXi, A30G Dump Trucks and Rollers as well as engaging sister company, Tippers ‘R’ Us for clearance and aggregate delivery. The final stage of the three and a half month project included the disposal of green waste, supplying and laying lotrak and geogrid and spreading topsoil to landscape.
