Green Light for Kesgrave Pump Track

A PROJECT THAT GIVES BACK – KESGRAVE PUMP TRACK

When communities thrive, it’s because people invest, not only financially, but with vision, commitment, and heart. That spirit is exactly what’s driving the creation of Kesgrave’s new BMX pump track, a six‑figure project fully funded by Tru7 Group Chairman, Guy Nicholls. As construction prepares to begin in early 2026, this project stands as a powerful example of how local investment can shape healthier, more active futures for young people.

A Project Designed to Give Back

For Guy Nicholls, supporting the Kesgrave pump track is about more than building a facility, it’s about giving back to the town that helped shape his own journey. After the original plans were approved in 2024, Guy and the Tru7 team took a deeper look and saw an opportunity to make the design even better for local children and young people. This led to a more ambitious redesign submitted in summer 2025, which has now been unanimously approved by East Suffolk Council.

Guy explained that while the approval process took longer than expected, the goal was always to deliver something truly special for Kesgrave’s next generation. With the final green light now secured, construction is set to begin early in the new year.

Creating a Safe, Active Space for Young People

The pump track (expected to cost more than £100,000) will offer a dedicated, safe, and exciting space for children and teenagers to ride, develop skills, stay active, and enjoy time outdoors. In a world where young people face increasing pressures from social media and digital overload, the track is designed to provide a positive alternative: a place to move, connect, and build confidence.

As Guy noted, the aim is to help keep young people “active, engaged, and off the streets by giving them something positive to do away from excessive time on social media”.

A Community Effort

The project has been warmly welcomed by local leaders. Councillor Debbie McCallum praised the “very generous funding” from Guy and Tru7, calling the pump track “an extremely exciting project which will be one for all to enjoy at no cost”. Kesgrave Town Council echoed this enthusiasm, expressing excitement to work with Guy, Tru7, and specialist builders Clark & Kent to bring the track to life.

With construction beginning in early 2026, the Kesgrave pump track is set to become a landmark community asset—one built on collaboration, generosity, and a shared belief in creating opportunities for young people. For Tru7 Group and Guy Nicholls, it’s another step in a long‑standing commitment to supporting Suffolk communities and investing in the wellbeing of future generations.
