Tru Plant

Imtech Engineering Services | Sizewell

As part of preparation works for engineering at Sizewell Power Station in Suffolk, Imtech, a technical services group jointly owned by Dalkia and EDF, required serious plant machinery, materials and welfare for ground clearance and earthworks at the site.

How we carried out the project

TRU7 was delighted to take on this challenge and provided Imtech with a full range of plant machinery for demolition and topsoil stripping, as well as ready-mix concrete and tarmac for the groundwork. The project required major excavation muscle, with TRU7 providing 1.5-ton to 30-ton excavators plus up to 9-ton dump trucks, complete with expert operators.

Additionally, a powerful fleet of self-drive machines, including up to 30-ton articulated dump trucks, rollers, telehandlers, road sweepers and tower lights were supplied. To fully support the project, vacuum excavators were used for all areas with live cables and site offices, plus a traffic light system was installed.
