It's Open! Kesgrave BMX Pump Track

The sun, the crowds, and the energy all aligned to make the grand opening of Tru Park, the new Kesgrave Pump Track, a standout moment for the town and for everyone at Tru7 Group. What began as a community driven idea has now become a vibrant, fully lived in space, and the success of opening day proved just how much this project means to Kesgrave.

A day that exceeded every expectation

From the moment the gates opened at 11am, Millennium Field was buzzing. Families, young riders, local supporters, and cycling enthusiasts filled the park, creating an atmosphere that felt more like a festival than a ribbon cutting. The track didn’t sit still for a second. Bikes of every size were rolling, jumping, carving and testing the fresh tarmac from the very first lap.

Coverage from BBC, and a host of local press outlets captured the excitement, helping spread the story far beyond Kesgrave. Their crews spent the morning interviewing riders, parents, and members of the Tru7 team, all of whom shared the same sentiment: this is exactly what the community needed.

Special guests who made the day even bigger

The opening ceremony was led by Guy Nicholls, Tru7 Group Board Chairman, whose commitment to giving young people safe, positive spaces has been at the heart of this project from day one. For Guy, and for the entire Tru7 Group, Tru Park represents more than a construction achievement. It is a legacy piece for Kesgrave, built with the belief that investing in young people is investing in the future of the town.

Professional mountain bike rider Jono Jones joined the celebrations, drawing huge excitement from young riders who were thrilled to meet someone they have watched online and admired in the sport. Jono spent time trackside, chatting with families, and encouraging the next generation of riders, which became a highlight for many who attended.

A project built with purpose

Tru Park has been shaped by a simple but powerful goal: to give Kesgrave’s young people a safe, inspiring place to ride, grow, and build confidence. The project reflects Tru7 Group’s long standing commitment to supporting the local community, not just through business, but through meaningful, lasting contributions that improve everyday life.

From early planning to final surfacing, the track has been a collaboration between Tru7, local partners, and the community itself. The result is a space that feels owned by everyone who uses it.

A community response that says it all

The feedback on the day, and in the days since, has been overwhelmingly positive. Parents spoke about how valuable it is to have a dedicated riding space. Young riders couldn’t stop smiling. Local residents praised the investment, the design, and the atmosphere it has already created.

Many described it as “a game changer for Kesgrave” — a place that will bring people together, encourage outdoor activity, and give young riders a safe alternative to roads and car parks.

A proud moment for Tru7 Group

For Tru7 Group, the opening of Tru Park marks a milestone in our ongoing mission to give back to the communities we are part of. Seeing the track alive with energy, excitement, and possibility was a powerful reminder of why this project mattered so much to Guy and to the entire team.

This is more than a pump track. It is a space built for the next generation, and one we are proud to have delivered for Kesgrave.
